It's a call for submissions!
Eloquentia would like to hear your voice, in whatever packaging it comes in.
Partnered with Oxford School District, Eloquentia gives high school students the means and ability to showcase their talent and make a name for themselves. Students from all schools of Oxford may submit work (whether it be full-time, part-time, with OVA, at OHS, or at OSEC). The benefits of Eloquentia are numerous, and include, but are not limited to, the following:
Eloquentia and Your School
Many English and art teachers this year are integrating Eloquentia into their curriculum. If your teacher isn't one of them, feel free to bring them one of our flyers (under the Submit tab) and talk about incorporating Eloquentia into the classroom, such as with extra credit or as a homework assignment. Students are welcome to bring pieces created for school, as well as pieces simply created for personal enjoyment. Awards and certificates (new fall 2017) will be granted to students who have had 3+ submissions accepted, as well as students who have had continual involvement and have submitted every season of the 2018-2019 school year. More information can be found in the Awards tab.
College Apps
Eloquentia could also become an integral part of your college application! Colleges these days are looking for innovative and engaged students who have reached out into their community and contributed their time, talent, and mind. Eloquentia checks all of these boxes! For example:

- Getting your work submitted means that you can place this accomplishment in the achievements section of the Common App.
- Should you dedicate 45-minutes or more per week to creating work for Oxford's magazine, Eloquentia could also become an extracurricular activity.
- Students who participate in Eloquentia regularly and develop a rapport with the staff may also ask for references.
